Animation bringing odd concepts brought to life
When the marketing folks at Cox Communications approached us about creating an animation to be shown at the entrance of OdySea Aquarium in Scottsdale as part of their partnership, we were intrigued. They also needed it to include branding for their product, Homelife, a home monitoring system that seemed to be out of its depth in an underwater world. At least until we pitched “Sharks On the Move”, where a jagged-teeth couple were carrying out their own Odyssey of sorts – leaving their beachfront homes to cozier confines of the Aquarium. The pair traverse various ecosystems before arriving, monitoring their new home along the way via Homelife. It’s just one example where animation resolved a concept that wouldn’t have been possible to film at an acceptable budget line.
