We do like the Stones. And black is our favorite color/shade/whatever. But we're not borrowing from the song. "Painting it black" is how David used to describe the deep color-correction he painstakingly applied to all of the video he edited.
Over the years, the process has become much easier. We still enjoy seeing how much contrast we can wring out of a shot for dramatic effect. And because it looks really, really cool.
